The
elder son Seetharamayya Panthulu started his career as a vakil and
later went to Madras University to take a Law degree in 1920. He later
became a very successful criminal advocate at Berhampore whose photograph
still adorns the Bar Association Hall at Berhampore. The legend has
it that his was the first Ford car in Ganzam district which he imported
from London in or about 1930. It is said that when this man returned
from court in the evening , his pocket was full of coins which he
emptied into the saree of his wife. They never touched the coins which
fell on the floor. The servants and the little ones in the family
took those coins. His wife was a very simple and affectionate lady.
He had two sons and two daughters. Both his sons were advocates. |
